Test Introduction

Immediately after getting back from Singapore the Space Academy set to work on the second version of x23; the mature version. And Max-c Cubacub and I dropped in to watch.   Jay had chosen Sollen Heussaff to wear the claws of Laura Kinney, for those who do not know, Sollen is a tv/ print model, and actress and VJ for Channel V. For facebook afficionados; you may have glanced at the Coke Zero Ad featuring her… but most of you have definitely seen her on TV in Survivor Philippines.

What’s not very well known is her knack for prosthetic make up, she actually applied the wounds on her self for the shoot. I wish I had recorded that one. however this much I have caught on video…

Hmmm, What bother’s me is i had her mostly in the shot and not the the crew. — yeah like you guys would whine about that now, right? She’s not exactly hard on the eyes :P and besides my excuse is the studio was really dark. Yep that’s it! It was dark.

And yes it was the same claws from the first shoot, and before the shoot wit was already bent at the weld, and everyone was hoping it will hold out. There was an Adamantium shortage recently, if you heard it on the news… so they made do with Aluminum hehe.

Also did a quick sketch for reference for one of the poses— because I forgot to bring the one i did at home… But I’d prefer this one for the pose as the original would have the pose covering some details. Will scan that one and post it in the future.

Looking at her during the shoot, she has those “comic book eyes” that i often described way back in college; it’s those eye illustrations where the brow meets the edge of the eyelid — often could be drawn with a single continuous stroke. Actually back in highschool we called it Joe Quesada angry eyes.  She though, could definitely sell a female-centric action movie. And if memory serves, local cinema doesn’t have those. And if we do, I haven’t seen it, or it still follows the same pattern as all local action movies

Anyway without further ado, here’s Jay’s final image
